I LOVE the crossing refuges near the bus platforms. It's probably also good to have bus passengers waiting away from storefronts and such, but also safely on a platform. I also like that the bus traffic seems hard to disrupt, but I assume it's also disreputable by left turns?

I love this design's center bus-only lane and the added green buffer near the sidewalk. I like the smaller amount of conflict points and the increased traffic flow from removing the option of a left turn. I like the larger bike lanes that include delineators. I also like the smaller entrance to the business from the road.

Maybe keeping the bus lanes in the center helps them not get stuck in traffic? I'm not sure. I suppose bus lanes in the center could also be a good stepping stone towards eventual tram tracks. Not sure.

Bikes and pedestrians are shielded from traffic. Bus gets its own lane.

I like the bus lanes being in the center of the road! I think it would make maneuvering around them easier for auto drivers, as well as help those drivers enter the many businesses and side streets down this main thoroughfare.

Meets best practice standards see Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP). Best practice around the world is center lane for BRT. Also reduces costs since a center lane will require only one BRT station for both north and south traffic. Makes right turns safer.

Better than cars on the inside, I would think, particularly for accessibility to business and residential.
